Openings are available in all instrumental sections. The band plays concerts and parades. In addition there is German Band that generally plays to smaller audiences and a brass ensemble that plays Christmas music. The members and director select in which performances they wish to participate.

Rehearsals begin in late winter or early spring and start at 8:00 P.M. in the basement of the Stuart Huston Building at First Avenue and East Lincoln High in Coatesville, PA. This building was the headquarters building of the former Lukens Steel Company.
